DeepSeek Harness Plugin: ppt-master-cloner

Introduction¶

The core design concept of DeepSeek Harness is “everything is a plugin”. In scenarios where AI is used to generate native PowerPoint presentations, ppt-master is a commonly used upstream project. This plugin is designed to eliminate the cumbersome manual cloning and maintenance of source code, enabling ready-to-use operation after startup and continuous updates, ensuring that the Agent can invoke the latest PPT generation capabilities at any time.

Core Capabilities¶

Automatic Installation and Cloning: After the plugin is activated, it automatically clones ppt-master to the local default directory (usually $DSH_HOME/ppt-master).
Automatic Update Detection: Every 6 hours, it automatically checks for changes in the upstream repository and performs a fast-forward merge when new commits are detected.
Tool Registration: Registers the ppt_master tool for the Agent, allowing it to directly invoke the skills of ppt-master.
Status Management and Control: Supports viewing the synchronization status (local/remote HEAD, recent errors, etc.) and allows manual forced updates.
Shallow Clone Support: Uses shallow cloning by default to speed up the initial installation.

Installation and Activation¶

Use the official command-line tool to install it.

dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/sol5766/ppt-master-cloner.git

After installation, be sure to restart DeepSeek Harness for the plugin to take effect. During the first startup, the plugin automatically clones the source code in the background (shallow clone by default). Before cloning is complete, the tool status may show not checked.

After installation, the Agent can invoke the ppt_master tool using natural language commands.

Typical Workflow¶

The plugin itself is only responsible for pulling and maintaining the ppt-master source code. The actual PPT generation logic depends on the skills and scripts of the ppt-master project.

The model automatically loads the local ppt-master skill and executes the workflow of data collection, design specification definition, SVG design, and final PPTX export.

Notes¶

No External Dependencies: The plugin has no telemetry and no external services. Its only outbound traffic is git operations to GitHub.
Permissions and Network: The initial clone may take several minutes. Check network connectivity if needed.
Scope of Responsibilities: The plugin is only responsible for pulling and maintaining source code; the specific PPT generation capabilities belong to the ppt-master project itself.
