Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) supports extending functionality through plugins, but the official documentation currently does not provide a direct entry point for viewing balances and platform usage. During use, to keep track of account status and cost consumption, users generally need to leave DSH or rely on external tools. The dsh-deepseek-monitor plugin ports DeepSeek platform balance and usage monitoring into DSH, integrated into the settings card and input toolbar, making it convenient to monitor resource status in real time during development.
What Is This¶
dsh-deepseek-monitor is a web plugin for DeepSeek Harness, maintained by HaoyueQin. It brings DeepSeek platform monitoring into the DSH interface, solving the problem that users cannot directly view balances and token consumption during development. The plugin is released under the MIT License.
Core Features¶
Settings Integration
The plugin is integrated into the “Settings → Models → DeepSeek” provider card. The card includes an “Account Details” button; clicking it expands a panel to display detailed information.
Real-Time Balance in Input Bar
The real-time balance is displayed in the input toolbar (to the left of the model name). The balance chip changes color based on the value (green for positive, red for negative), and its visibility can be toggled in settings.
Account Details Panel
The expanded panel includes the following:
- Balance Card: Shows today’s consumption, monthly cost, and low-balance alerts.
- Model Usage Rows: Lists each model’s official product name, including progress bars, cache hit rate, cost, and other data.
- Daily Stacked Bar Chart: Displays the daily usage distribution, with month switching.
Platform Token Configuration
Provides two ways to obtain a token:
1. One-click copy the console capture script, then paste and run it on the platform page.
2. Manually paste it into the browser console (F12) to obtain it.
Before configuration, an API liveness check is performed. After saving, credentials are written only and not re-displayed.
Settings Options
Supports configuring the input-bar balance visibility toggle, automatic refresh interval (minimum 60 seconds), low-balance alert threshold, and cache reload or clearing.
Installation and Enablement¶
Use the official installation command to add the plugin to the specified configuration file.
dsh plugin --profile <name> add dsh-deepseek-monitor@latest
Typical Usage¶
- After installing the plugin, go to “Settings → Models → DeepSeek”.
- Click the “Account Details” button to view the balance card and model usage rows.
- View the real-time balance on the left side of the input bar, or use the token configuration feature in settings.
Use Cases and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for DSH users who need to frequently monitor DeepSeek API usage, control costs, and plan resources.
Note:
- The plugin does not store API keys; all parsing is completed through the DSH credential seam, never displayed on screen and never logged.
- Platform tokens are written via a fenced route (write-only), and no API re-displays them.
- The capture script runs purely locally and does not send data to third parties.
- Preferences and cache are persistently stored in storage-domain deepseek_monitor.
Short Conclusion¶
dsh-deepseek-monitor provides DSH users the ability to check balances and usage without leaving the interface. All data interactions follow localization and security principles, making it suitable for developers who need fine-grained cost control.
