Introduction¶
In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin ecosystem, few tools can directly present quantitative data in the Web interface. For developers who need fine-grained control over Token costs and monitoring of model calls, the lack of visualized usage statistics can be inconvenient. The haoyueqin/dsh-usage-statistics-panel plugin subscribes to the session event stream, aggregates scattered logs into visualized charts, and provides a “Usage Statistics” entry directly on the settings page.
Plugin Introduction¶
This is a Web plugin for DeepSeek Harness, used to display daily Token trends, GitHub-style activity heatmaps, cache hit rate curves, and usage breakdowns by model and provider. The plugin is maintained by HaoyueQin and is licensed under the MIT License.
Installation and Enablement¶
- Add the plugin using the install command:
dsh plugin --profile <name> add dsh-usage-statistics-panel@latest
- After installation, perform a hard refresh in the browser (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+R) to load client-side changes.
- Find the “Usage Statistics” page in the left navigation bar on the settings page.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following features:
* Daily Token Trends: displays stacked bar charts and cache hit rate curves.
* GitHub-style Activity Heatmap: covers 26 weeks, with daily Token usage shown using color scales.
* Summary Cards: display total Tokens, number of sessions, number of requests, active days, cache hit rate, and the most frequently used model.
* Model Usage Breakdown: the top 10 models are shown in separate colors, while the rest are collapsed.
* Provider Usage Breakdown: the top 5 providers are shown in separate colors, while the rest are grouped under Other.
* Bottom Info Bar Enhancements: supports display of precise hit rate, Token details (input/output/cache read/cache write), and streaming speed.
* Historical Back-scan: on first enablement, replays existing session logs to fill in data from before installation.
* Local Persistence: data is stored in $DSH_HOME/storages/usage_history., with no external dependencies.
Technical Details and Notes¶
- Version Compatibility: supports DeepSeek Harness
>= 0.1.2-rc.1. Users of older versions0.1.1-rc.2or0.1.2-alpha.*need to install this plugin’s versions0.1.9or earlier. - Data Collection: observational collection, subscribing to the
session/eventstream. - Token Accounting: consistent with provider billing, including uncached input, output, cache read, and cache write.
- Sub-agent Statistics: sub-agent sessions are counted independently and merged with top-level sessions.
- Permissions and Security: purely local persistence, with no external dependencies.
Summary¶
Through hand-drawn SVG charts and local storage, this plugin provides DSH users with an intuitive usage analysis tool. For developers who care about cost and efficiency, it is a practical helper.
