Introduction¶
In the DeepSeek Harness plugin ecosystem, general writing skills often struggle to reliably maintain thesis writing rules and global state locally. dsh-thesis is designed to address this context limitation by providing structured state management and strict permission validation for local thesis writing.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a DeepSeek Harness plugin for thesis-assisted writing. It is maintained by haoyuan-sjtu and aims to support thesis writing tasks through project-level context management, structured JSON capture and review commands, and global state maintenance.
Core Features¶
- Thesis-assisted writing context management: Maintain project-wide writing rules and context.
- Structured JSON capture and review: Provide
/thesisflow-captureand/thesisflow-reviewcommands for submitting data and reviewing candidate records. - Project-level context and global state: Maintain state consistency within the project scope.
- Quarantined record state: New records are written by default in a
quarantinestatus. - Strict scope and privacy validation: Validate access permissions and privacy policies.
Installation and Enablement¶
After installing the plugin into a designated DSH profile, restart that profile.
- Install the plugin:
Use the official installation command to add the repository to a profile:
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/haoyuan-sjtu/dsh-thesis.git
To install it in a headless profile, replace `web` with `headless`.
- Configure the project file:
Set theTHESISFLOW_PROJECT_CONFIGenvironment variable when starting the profile to point to the absolute path ofthesisflow.yaml. This file contains non-sensitive metadata and a project-relative registry path.
Typical Usage¶
After configuration, the plugin can be used in the following ways:
- Project configuration example:
Configure project metadata inthesisflow.yaml:
projectId: thesis-2026-example
language: zh-CN
field: computer-science
chapterIds: [ch1, ch2, ch3]
defaultScope: project
privacyPolicy: project_confidential
contextTokenBudget: 1200
registryPath: .thesisflow/registry.json
-
Task routing:
Use the/thesisflow-route <task description>command to classify a task and obtain thesis suggestions, required inputs, and expected outputs. -
Data capture:
Use the/thesisflow-capture <JSON candidate>command to submit structured data. -
Record review:
Use the/thesisflow-review <JSON action>command to perform operations such as approving, rejecting, or revoking queued records.
Suitable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Suitable scenarios: Suitable for users who need to strictly manage thesis writing context, rules, and state in a local environment.
- Permission restrictions: Approval commands are disabled by default. The approval command is enabled only when the Host provides a
principalResolverin the plugin configuration. TheprincipalResolvermust return an identity verified by the Host; otherwise it fails closed. - State change restrictions: Free text, model outputs, and unverified entities cannot change record state.
- Feature boundaries: This plugin does not support a Web UI, team/user scopes, cloud synchronization, external command execution, school submission, or Humanize integration.
- Security warning: The plugin runs with DSH process permissions. Before installation, be sure to review the source code and license.
Conclusion¶
dsh-thesis helps developers handle complex state logic in thesis writing by providing structured command interfaces and strict permission management. Plugin directory: https://www.skillhub.cn/plugins/haoyuan-sjtu/dsh-thesis. Source repository: https://github.com/haoyuan-sjtu/dsh-thesis.
