About this skill

Problem It Addresses

When you need to see which Douyin videos became popular yesterday or which works led a vertical category by likes, manually checking the platform is cumbersome. This skill narrows the task to daily like-based leaderboards by date and category, making it useful for content monitoring, topic research, and trend review rather than real-time ranking discovery.

How It Works

  • Data cadence: updates daily at 06:00 with yesterday's data, supports lookback up to 30 days, and returns up to 50 items per category.
  • Scope: defaults to yesterday's all-category ranking; you can also filter by one of 28 verticals.
  • Output: shows TOP20 by default, then TOP50 when a full ranking is requested; titles are rendered as clickable Markdown links using workUrl.
  • Fields: includes rank, title, author and fans, category, collect / comment / share / likes, and publish_time, with likes emphasized.
  • Request flow: uses REDFOX_API_KEY to call the API with optional type, startTime, and endTime; requests for today, future dates, or dates beyond 30 days fall back to the closest available date with a clear note.

Limitations

The result is a stored snapshot of like ranking, not real-time heat. Links, engagement numbers, and author fan counts can change over time. If a user asks for today or future data, only yesterday's board is available; if a vertical cannot be matched, the user must choose from supported categories.

Use Cases

  • A content editor checks yesterday's all-category Douyin top 20 likes before a morning meeting to pick trending topics.
  • An operator reviews a vertical's rankings over the past 30 days to compare daily hot-work shifts.
  • A market researcher filters yesterday's list by one of 28 verticals to extract authors, likes, and publish times.
  • A data analyst turns the daily top 50 table into a weekly report and opens each linked Douyin work.

Best For

  • Short-video content editors who want daily Douyin like rankings and vertical hot works.
  • Social media analysts who need to review Douyin hot data by vertical and date for the last 30 days.
  • Creator operations teams who compare high-like works in their niche, including author fans and engagement.
  • Product or operations staff building content monitoring workflows who need clickable work links and daily briefs.
