Interior design projects often stall when raw inputs such as floor plans, style preferences, material lists, and budgets must be turned into reviewable documents. Requirements for residential layouts, commercial circulation, fire safety, and hotel standards are scattered across references, making it easy to miss evacuation distances, back-of-house flows, or material waste.

How It Works

The skill organizes inputs like floor plans, space descriptions, style preferences, and budget range into structured outputs. It parses spatial constraints, analyzes daylighting, ventilation, circulation, and zoning; recommends among ten styles and supports style blending; proposes flooring, wall, ceiling, and custom furniture materials with premium and value alternatives; estimates hard and soft budgets by area, city tier, and material grade; calculates material quantities and waste; and generates proposals, client questionnaires, construction drawing checklists, and progress templates. For commercial spaces, it helps check fire review thresholds, evacuation width, lighting, and HVAC requirements. For hotels, it provides room area, fire safety, acoustic, back-of-house circulation, and public-area references. Scripts such as calculate_budget.py and check_fire_safety.py separate repetitive calculations and checklist checks from conversational design work.

Boundaries

It is useful for early-stage schemes, budget drafts, and compliance self-checks, but it does not replace formal construction drawings, structural, MEP, or fire authority approvals. Material prices are reference data and should be re-quoted. Hotel and commercial claims should be verified against local code requirements.
