About this skill
The Problem It Solves
Finding useful WeChat 100K+ articles is hard because high-performing posts are scattered across categories and days, making it difficult to compare titles, topics, and distribution signals. This skill turns those articles into queryable rankings and structured summaries for content analysis.
How It Works
It queries the Redfox API by category and date range, then uses local scripts to shape the output:
- fetch_hot_articles.py: pulls overall or one of 23 standard category lists, with preview for the first 10 items and full for the complete set.
- generate_hot_html.py: renders the temporary JSON data into a WeChat-green HTML report for sharing or PDF export.
The skill interprets requests for today, yesterday, or a specific domain, calculates the correct date window based on the 18:30 daily update, and analyzes each article across four dimensions: summary, trend usage, communication effect, and outcome. It then extracts patterns from titles, themes, publishing time, and account positioning.
Limits and Caveats
This is useful for topic research, competitor review, and WeChat operations retrospectives, but not for real-time monitoring. Data is delayed by one day, and pre-18:30 requests for today may resolve to earlier dates. It also requires a valid REDFOX_API_KEY, and category matching depends on category-mapping rules, so broad keyword queries need careful interpretation.

- A WeChat editor reviews the previous day's top 100K+ articles to find reusable topics and title patterns.
- A wellness content planner tracks 100K+ posts in the niche to compare viral themes and publishing rhythms.
- A brand marketer queries recent 7-day rankings across categories to extract communication and conversion signals.
- An emerging creator compares viral article volume and quality across niches to choose a viable launch category.

- Niche content creators: need to track high-performing posts and analyze account positioning in their vertical.
- Brand marketers: need viral post patterns to guide titles, emotional hooks, and conversion actions.
