About this skill

What It Solves

Amazon sellers often treat reviews as fragmented signals: negative feedback arrives late, a VOC report captures only one point in time, and competitor trends are hard to track. This skill connects the ari.py CLI to the ARI API, placing review collection, VOC analysis, negative-review alerts, competitor comparison, and report archiving in one workflow so operators can inspect changes before deciding on actions.

How It Works

Start with check to verify account status, email verification, and available credits. For report generation, first run voc --site <site> for a total quote; after explicit user confirmation, run voc --site <site> --confirm, which handles collection, waiting, analysis, and archiving, and returns reportUrl. Then check schedule and remind the user that weekly keeps new reviews entering the database. Use reports or report --id for archived reports; when deltaMd is returned, explain the delta before the full text. Additional commands include reviews for high-vote negative reviews, benchmark for category performance, analyze --type compare for competitor comparison, workbench for issue triage, and advise for reply suggestions.

Boundaries

The skill relies on an API key and credits. Paid operations require an upfront quote and explicit confirmation. If a command is interrupted, do not retry directly; first run reports --asin <asin> --limit 1 to confirm whether a report was archived. Non-US site collection may require paid credits, and free credits may not apply. Small review samples should be validated against additional sources. Outputs should separate direct data reading, data-derived inference, and strategic suggestions, and must not invent data not returned by the API.

Use Cases

  • Operations staff quote, confirm, and generate a VOC report for an ASIN, then review the report URL and credit usage.
  • Support staff check alerts for unread negative reviews, then use workbench to prioritize severe entries.
  • Sellers quote and confirm a competitor comparison before running compare to generate the report.
  • Operations staff use the free benchmark command to review ASIN category performance, then decide whether to run leaderboard.

Best For

  • Amazon operations staff reviewing ASIN comments and connecting VOC reports, alerts, and credit usage
  • Support agents handling negative reviews with severity-based triage and reply suggestions
  • Sellers tracking competitor review trends with periodic collection and compare/radar analysis
  • E-commerce analysts reading archived reports, delta changes, and Markdown/HTML exports
