PDF Document Generation & Layout

Problem

Many agents can produce text, but PDF output often mixes content, styling, and layout in one brittle script: covers, section rules, tables, charts, equations, and form fields are hard to keep consistent. minimax-pdf-builder separates the work into CREATE, FILL, and REFORMAT routes so each task uses a focused pipeline.

How it works

• New PDFs: read design/design.md, choose a cover mode such as report, resume, magazine, terminal, or poster, then structure content in content.json. Blocks include h1, body, callout, table, code, math, chart, flowchart, and bibliography.
• Form filling: inspect the existing PDF first to get exact field names, then write values according to text, checkbox, dropdown, and radio rules without changing the layout.
• Reformatting: parse .md, .txt, .pdf, or .json input into structured content, then run the CREATE pipeline.

The skill uses accent colors, cover backgrounds, heading rules, table headers, and chart elements to create a consistent visual system. Color choices should follow the document's industry, audience, and purpose, favoring muted or darker tones rather than generic defaults.

Boundaries

• The key distinction between CREATE and REFORMAT is whether an existing document is provided; ask when unclear.
• dropdown and radio values must match the options returned by inspection.
• Sending, publishing, deleting, payment, or external writes require explicit user confirmation.
