About this skill

Problem Solved

When a user asks “what should I eat today,” generic answers may lack a seasonal constraint, portion size, or dietary restrictions. Today's Wellness Recipe turns the request into a small parameter set: it defaults to the current date, then returns a structured result with 1 home dish + 1 wellness soup + 1 drink. It is useful for seasonal cooking, vegan swaps, low-purine needs, diabetic-friendly choices, and allergy substitutions.

How It Works

The skill reads optional fields date, servings, and diet preference. Missing values default to today, 2 people, and a mixed meat-and-vegetable plan. It then maps the date to a solar term, notes the seasonal wellness focus, and selects recipes from the matching season. If constraints exist, it applies specific substitutions:
- Vegan options: replace pork, ribs, lamb, or chicken with tofu, king oyster mushroom, gluten, or corn;
- Light low-oil options: prefer steaming, boiling, and quick stir-frying;
- Diabetic-friendly options: remove rock sugar or brown sugar and limit starchy root vegetables;
- Low-purine options: avoid organ meat, rich meat broths, seafood, and large amounts of mushrooms;
- Allergy handling: follow a predefined replacement table.

Boundaries

The output is cooking guidance, not medical advice. Users with fever, pregnancy, excess stomach acid, or children under one should follow the warnings about honey, medicinal herbs, and certain ingredients. Dose and cooking time still depend on equipment, and substitutions are best done within similar flavor and function.

Use Cases

  • Generate a two-person seasonal meal with one dish, one soup, and one drink when unsure what to cook this morning.
  • Create a four-person light, low-oil menu and ingredient swaps for friends visiting for dinner.
  • Adjust rib soup and mushroom ingredients for a gout-prone family member using low-purine rules.
  • Prepare a diabetes-friendly dinner by removing added sugar and substituting grain porridge.

Best For

  • Office workers who cook at home and want seasonal two-person menus with one dish, one soup, and one drink.
  • Family caregivers who need low-purine or diabetes-friendly ingredient substitutions for a patient's meals.
  • Home cooks preparing a light, low-oil dinner for visiting guests and need quick swaps.
  • Roommates who need to plan a quick meal by headcount and dietary restrictions.
