About this skill

The problem

When drafting incoming inspection procedures, test items, defect levels, sampling plans, tolerances, and acceptance criteria are often scattered across control plans, test reports, drawings, and verbal notes. Manual compilation can miss required fields, misstate AQL values, or fill critical parameters with unverified assumptions. This skill turns those inputs into a consistent, reviewable .docx inspection procedure.

How it works

  • Information extraction: pulls inspection items, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria from control plans; extracts model, spec, dimensional tolerance, and material requirements from drawings; and uses text descriptions to fill context.
  • Data validation: checks required fields, defect levels such as CRI/MAJ/MIN, and sequence hierarchy against references/data-schema.md. When key data is missing, it asks the user for all missing items at once; unconfirmed fields are marked To Be Confirmed rather than invented.
  • Document generation: organizes validated data into JSON, runs scripts/generate_doc.py to produce the Word file, and shows a summary of inspection items, key parameters, and pending items.
  • Iteration: after feedback, it updates the JSON and regenerates the document, which is useful during review and correction.

Boundaries

The skill is intended for a single-product inspection procedure and does not merge multiple products. The document follows the GB/T 2828.1 sampling framework, while AQL and inspection level still need to be confirmed for the specific product. If drawings, control plans, or test standards are incomplete, the output includes a pending-item list, so it is best used as a first draft rather than a final controlled document.

Use Cases

  • Extract test items, AQL, and acceptance criteria from a control plan to draft an IQC inspection procedure.
  • Read model, dimensional tolerances, and material requirements from product drawings to complete inspection parameters.
  • When inspection data is incomplete, list missing fields and items to be confirmed without inventing technical parameters.
  • After user feedback, update the JSON data and regenerate the .docx inspection procedure summary.

Best For

  • IQC engineers who need to turn control plans into incoming inspection procedure drafts.
  • Quality engineers who must extract test items and acceptance criteria from drawings and test reports.
  • Document specialists who need template-ready Word inspection procedures and a pending-items list.
  • Supplier quality staff who need to organize verbal specs and material data into a confirmable inspection document.
