About this skill

Problem

Amazon listings often fail in one of two ways: they overstuff keywords without a clear search-buy semantic chain, or they read naturally but violate hard constraints such as title length, word repetition, and prohibited symbols. amazon-listing-cosmo gives copy engineers a structured workflow that combines target-market localization, COSMO user-intent principles, and Amazon detail-page format rules to reduce manual rework.

Workflow

The skill first checks required inputs: search terms, function terms, parameter terms, scenario terms, audience terms, and the target country. If any category is missing, it asks before generating rather than inventing specs. It then emits a fixed set of sections:
- Title: up to 75 characters, with core product type, key features, scenario, audience, and specs.
- Item Highlights: up to 125 characters, adding material, use case, compatibility, or omitted features.
- Bullet Points: exactly 5 items, using BENEFIT IN ALL CAPS to lead with buyer value.
- Description: a five-part HTML structure covering problem, support, users, specs, and package contents.
- Generic Keywords: up to 500 characters, without repetition, filler, brand names, or prohibited terms.

It can save the result to a styled Excel file via scripts/write_to_excel.py, making review and archiving easier.

Limits

This is best suited to listings where keywords and compliant claims are already known. It avoids medical, safety, patent, or brand claims unless the input provides substantiated wording. It does not predict ranking, choose market strategy, or verify regulatory compliance; it mainly solves the copywriting problem of sounding natural while passing Amazon's format checks.

Use Cases

  • When preparing US-market listing assets, turn provided keywords into a 75-character title and five bullet points.
  • When localizing product selling points for Germany, generate German Title, Description, and Generic Keywords per Amazon rules.
  • Before launch, audit title word repetition, special characters, brand names, and medical/safety claims for compliance.
  • When archiving keyword variants, export the generated listing copy to a styled Excel workbook.

Best For

  • US-market Amazon operations staff: turn product keywords into compliant, localized listing copy.
  • Foreign-trade copywriters for DE/FR/ES marketplaces: localize selling points under Amazon page limits.
  • Sellers moving from standalone sites to Amazon: avoid keyword stuffing and risky claims while drafting listings.
  • E-commerce assistants archiving assets: export generated listing copy into a styled Excel workbook.
