Document translation usually fails at consistency, not single sentences. This skill works on PDF, DOCX, TXT, and PPTX sources, producing an editable DOCX with fewer terminology mismatches and less manual reformatting.
How It Works
- Glossary loading: reads Excel, CSV, or TXT term lists and prefers those pairs for professional terms.
- Direction detection: samples the first 500 characters to infer Chinese-to-English or English-to-Chinese.
- Page-by-page translation: processes content in chunks of roughly 2,000 characters, preserving heading levels, paragraph breaks, lists, and basic table structure before generating
DOCX.
Boundaries
Best for documents with defined terminology and reusable structure. Terminology conflicts are resolved by the glossary; complex tables, merged cells, and text inside PDF images may not be perfectly preserved; specialized or academic wording still benefits from human review.
