Batch File Processing Design

Problem

When a batch of similar files needs renaming, reformatting, watermarking, translation, or merging, manual handling is error-prone and hard to audit. This skill focuses on converting that repetitive work into a clear batch workflow rather than executing it directly.

How It Works

It structures the task into four steps:
- File inventory: confirm paths, file types, and volume;
- Operation design: order actions such as renaming, reformatting, watermarking, translation, and merging;
- Output template: define naming, destination folders, and delivery format;
- Pre-run checks: preview a small sample, add backup reminders, and verify compatibility.

For contracts, reports, or compliance documents, it produces an execution plan, checklist, and batching guidance. If file types are mixed or the volume is large, it recommends chunked processing. Note that it is a design draft; actual execution should use a tool such as WorkBuddy that supports file operations.
