How It Works
It uses DrissionPage to control Google Chrome, connects via CDP, and monitors the aweme/post/ endpoint. After opening the target profile page, it captures the video list and downloads each item into OUTPUT_DIR.
- Inputs: profile URL, valid Cookie, output directory
- Runtime: launches a debug-port Chrome instance, navigates to the profile, and captures API responses
- Outputs: files named by video title, with illegal Windows characters cleaned and progress shown in the console
Boundaries
The workflow depends on a valid login state and responsive API behavior. Expired Cookies, browser locks, profile throttling, or expired video URLs can cause failures. It fits small, repeatable profile-video collection, not large-scale anonymous scraping or real-time synchronization.
