About this skill

Problem It Addresses

Many slides have enough content but still feel crowded: long bullet points copied from documents, similar visual weight between titles and body text, charts that do not explain the key point, and images competing with text. This skill targets slides that are readable but hard to present. It starts by clarifying audience, purpose, and existing design issues, then recommends layout, hierarchy, and visual elements that suit a presentation context.

How It Works

  • Layout guidance: Choose patterns such as title slides, three columns, timelines, processes, or comparisons, and use ASCII wireframes to clarify information placement.
  • Visual specs: Recommend color palettes, font pairings, icons, and shapes to create a consistent visual hierarchy and reading order.
  • Redesign concepts: Provide before/after ideas that break dense text pages into clearer modules, such as using key numbers, graphics, or short headings instead of full paragraphs.

Scope and Limits

It produces design notes and implementation references. It does not create PPTX files directly, generate images, or read existing presentations. Complex animations, master slide adjustments, and final page styling still need to be completed in PowerPoint or another design tool.

Use Cases

  • Before turning meeting conclusions into a 10-page client deck, define page layouts, key numbers, and color usage.
  • Rework a product launch PPT by converting text-heavy pages into three-column flows, timelines, and comparisons.
  • Standardize headings, body text, and icon style for training materials, producing practical layout guidance.
  • Plan a quarterly management review by designing chart pages, key-metric pages, and information hierarchy.

Best For

  • A presales consultant preparing client reviews who needs clear presentation layouts for proposal points.
  • An internal trainer who needs consistent fonts, icons, and page structure for courseware.
  • A PM writing product launch materials who needs to turn feature lists into easier-to-present slide layouts.
  • An analyst preparing executive reviews who needs to plan visual hierarchy for data pages and key conclusions.
