About this skill

Problem

Asking a model to “make a PPT” often produces misaligned requirements, unverified data, inconsistent images, bloated context from page-by-page generation, and HTML previews that are not editable or visually uneven. This skill turns PPT creation into a confirmable workflow where user decisions are explicit.

How It Works

  • Starts by aligning audience, style, palette, page count, materials, usage scenario, template, and aspect ratio. Uploaded .pptx or .potx templates can be analyzed for theme colors, fonts, and layouts, with either deep or light adaptation.
  • Confirms data and image sources before production: user files, manual input, web search, URL extraction, screenshots, or AI-generated assets. Sourced data must be labeled.
  • Plans the outline into 3-5 modules. Each module uses subagents to generate content-filled HTML layout options, usually 2-3 choices per page.
  • Previews are merged into one HTML file to avoid multi-file switching; selected pages are then split out and rendered as editable PPTX with python-pptx.
  • Combines 42 layout types, 129 design techniques, 10 style directions, and 20 palette options, with strict rules for left-right symmetry, spacing, and visual hierarchy.

Boundaries

It works well for from-scratch design, template adaptation, outline conversion, image sourcing, and editable PPTX output. It does not inject complex CSS, SVG, smooth transitions, or advanced animations directly into native PPTX, and complex template placeholder replacement is not guaranteed. Heavy Excel data cleaning should be preprocessed; animation design may be provided as guidance only.

Use Cases

  • Turn a product proposal, data points, and image needs into a 16:9 deck and deliver an editable .pptx
  • Use an existing Word outline and company template to inherit colors and fonts while choosing layouts by module
  • Create image-supported PPT pages for a long-form article, preview them in HTML, then export PPTX or a long image
  • Confirm data and image sources, then generate pages with charts, data cards, and a consistent visual style

Best For

  • Consultants who must deliver editable PPTs with data charts, layouts, and template adaptation
  • Design operations owners preparing launch or product materials who need consistent style, palette, and fast previews
  • Product managers converting outlines, Excel data, and screenshots into report decks
  • Solution writers who want module-by-module layout confirmation instead of one-shot generation
