About this skill

Problem

WeChat Official Account publishing often stalls on converting docx/md to HTML, uploading images, fixing layout details, and replacing drafts. This skill collapses document parsing, image preprocessing, WeChat CDN upload, and draft create/replace into one scripted flow. A built-in selfCheck gate surfaces title length, footer placeholders, and IP whitelist issues before any WeChat API call, avoiding wasted access_token and image upload quotas.

Workflow

The main path is docx/md → layout → image rounding/shadow → WeChat CDN upload → footer → draft. It applies fixed styles: 15px body text, 2.0 line height, gold left border headings, dark-blue table headers with zebra stripes, and rounded images with a light shadow. First use requires scripts/.env with WECHAT_APP_ID, WECHAT_APP_SECRET, and WECHAT_THUMB_MEDIA_ID, plus a public IP allowlist entry.

Boundaries

  • Publishing only passes through formatting; semantic bolding belongs to the layout step.
  • scripts/footer.html is the full master footer and must be replaced with the user's own profile before first use.
  • Sanitized publishing should use a temporary copy, never overwrite or reduce the master footer.
  • Use --check only for debugging or preview; normal publishing does not require a prior check.

Use Cases

  • Operations team turns a finished Word weekly report into a WeChat draft with cover image upload and table styling preserved.
  • Editor lays out a Markdown article and creates a WeChat draft instead of copying CSS and uploading images manually.
  • Content team uses --check to preview layout, title length, and footer placeholder issues before publishing.
  • Author replaces an existing WeChat draft with the same docx for repeated revisions and preview updates.

Best For

  • Content editors who weekly convert Word or Markdown articles into uniformly formatted WeChat drafts.
  • Official Account operators who need cover image upload to WeChat CDN while preserving table and heading styles.
  • Technical writers who want pre-publish checks for title length, footer placeholders, and IP whitelist errors.
  • Account maintainers who repeatedly replace the same WeChat draft for revisions and preview updates.
