About this skill

Problem

Telesales release records are often captured as screenshots where customer name, CID, and UIN values are scattered across the UI. Manual transcription can miss fields, create duplicates, and make month-end consolidation tedious. This skill focuses on turning release screenshots into a structured Excel list, with same-month entries appended to a single file.

How It Works

The workflow is built around Tesseract OCR and Python scripts:
- Image recognition: reads screenshot text and prioritizes fields such as customer name, CID, and UIN list.
- Field extraction: handles CID formats like CID:xxx or CID xxx, preferring 32-character hex values; UIN extraction prefers 12-digit numbers.
- Duplicate control: treats a record as duplicate if either CID or UIN already exists, preventing repeated entries.
- Excel output: creates a monthly file such as 电销通路释放名单YYYYMM.xlsx on the desktop and appends release reason and release time.

Multiple screenshots can also be processed from a folder, or the underlying scripts/extract_info.py and scripts/batch_extract.py can be used for more controlled runs.

Boundaries

  • OCR accuracy drops when screenshot quality is poor.
  • Chinese recognition depends on Tesseract language packs such as chi_sim.
  • If the screenshot layout changes significantly, regex patterns may need adjustment; manually editing CID or UIN values in Excel can also affect duplicate detection.

Use Cases

  • Ops logs release screenshots into monthly Excel.
  • Month-end batch dedupes CID/UIN before appending Excel rows.
  • Support converts UI screenshots to fixed release fields.
  • Engineers batch-run screenshot extraction scripts for lists.

Best For

  • Telesales ops staff: build monthly release lists with CID/UIN.
  • Sales support staff: log customer name, CID, UIN into Excel.
  • CS leads: dedupe release records and export clean lists.
  • Automation engineers: batch-run screenshot field extraction.
