What it addresses

In homes, kindergartens, and early-education settings, risks such as a child handling scissors, knives, medicine bottles, lighters, cleaning agents, or touching electrical sockets often occur when direct supervision is not continuous. This skill targets fixed-camera video and focuses on recognizing high-risk contact events between a child and preset dangerous objects.

How it works

It accepts mp4, avi, or mov files up to 10MB. Using object detection, pose estimation, and hand tracking, it distinguishes children from adults and classifies actions such as grabbing, holding near the mouth, pointing at a socket, or inserting a finger into a socket. Outputs include the dangerous-object type, risk action, confidence, event time, snapshot, and alert level. Historical report queries are required to use the cloud API instead of local memory, reducing incomplete or inconsistent results.

Boundaries

It is an assistance layer for supervision, not a replacement for adult care. Guardian consent and careful handling of minors’ video data are required. The skill only reports detected behavior and alerts, not care instructions; when an emergency alert appears, verify and intervene promptly.
