About this skill

Problem

When it is necessary to see which public topics are rising, opening multiple platforms and manually comparing boards can distract from the actual question. This skill reduces real-time hot-topic lookup to a single API step, retrieves ranked entries for a specified platform or a default set, and keeps the content concise.

How It Works

  • Calls an external hotboard API: https://uapis.cn/api/v1/misc/hotboard
  • Uses the type parameter to select platforms such as bilibili, weibo, zhihu, and douyin
  • For unspecified platforms, it extracts leading entries from the regular boards and shortens them to 5-10 character phrases; duplicates are skipped by taking the next item
  • For specified platforms, it returns the top five by default, or a user-specified count when provided
  • The result is presented as a concise list for quick review, without extra elaboration

Boundaries

  • Availability depends on the external API; if the endpoint is unavailable, results will be affected
  • Platform coverage is limited to the API's type mapping and may not include every site
  • The output is optimized for quick entry-level browsing, not for full sentiment analysis or data conclusions

Use Cases

  • Before drafting a daily public-opinion brief, check Weibo and Zhihu hot searches to identify topics worth citing for the day’s final report.
  • Before choosing live-stream content, review Douyin and Bilibili hot boards to see which trends fit tonight’s promotion and pick the best angle.
  • When planning a public-account article, pull Zhihu hot questions and choose a public issue that can be expanded into a draft.
  • During competitor monitoring, scan Weibo hot searches for product names and confirm whether user discussions have appeared in recent entries.

Best For

  • Content editors planning public-account topics: identify writable public issues from Zhihu and Weibo hot searches.
  • Live-stream operations planners: check Douyin and Bilibili boards before meetings to choose tonight’s content direction.
  • Opinion-brief analysts: confirm current Weibo and Zhihu hot topics before writing the day’s summary.
  • Product operators: scan Weibo hot searches for product names and recent user discussions during competitor monitoring.
