About this skill
Problem Context
Construction plan review often involves long documents, mixed formats, scattered drawings, and cross-referenced technical parameters. Manual review requires repeated checks across project overview, table of contents, code citations, calculation values, safety measures, and acceptance clauses. Common issues include expired code versions, inconsistent parameters, and drawing numbers that are hard to trace. construction-plan-reviewer turns this review process into a repeatable data flow, starting with readability, classification, and drawing localization before red-line and four-dimensional review.
How It Works
The skill acts as an entry point. Callers provide a source file path, and the workflow runs through these stages:
- Document conversion: supports .docx, .doc, text-based .pdf, and scanned .pdf, converting the plan into .md for downstream reading.
- Plan classification: extracts signals from the title, first chapter, or project overview, writes classification_cache.json, and archives files into the corresponding engineering category folder.
- Key drawing recognition: for Class A/B high-risk plans, extracts drawings, filters non-drawing images, and generates 关键图纸识别报告.md.
- Red-line and professional review: uses general review experience and professional skills to check textual conformity, completeness, compliance, and project-specificity.
- Review opinion: consolidates red-line issues and the full issue list into a structured review opinion.
Boundaries
It is suitable for construction organization designs and specialized plans for deep foundations, high formwork, scaffolding, hoisting, and similar works. Scanned PDF OCR results may be unstable; docx to Markdown conversion may lose table or image detail; drawing recognition mainly applies to Class A/B high-risk plans. Final conclusions should still be verified against site conditions, design documents, and current standards.
Use Cases
- Review a scaffolding plan by converting the file, extracting key drawings, and checking wall ties, loads, and parameters against standards.
- Screen a deep foundation plan for red-line issues such as expired code versions, inconsistent parameters, and missing expert review.
- Convert a construction organization design to Markdown, archive it by engineering category, and produce a review opinion covering completeness, compliance, and specificity.
- Check whether high formwork calculations match plan parameters, and summarize drawing recognition findings, critical issues, and review suggestions.
Best For
- Construction project technical leads who need to self-check specialized plans for expired codes, missing sections, and inconsistent parameters before submission.
- Supervision engineers reviewing high-risk works drawings, calculations, and safety measures for critical coverage.
- Corporate technical management teams who need to archive plans by engineering category and retain structured review opinions.
- Specialized plan drafters who need to locate red-line issues, mismatched drawing numbers, and weak project-specificity in revisions.
