About this skill

Problem

Selecting a gear reducer and generating CAD drawings often requires repeated browser actions: filling web-form fields, waiting for calculations, revising values, and checking order status. The Gear Reducer CAD Drawing Assistant connects this workflow to a chat interface for users who need to prepare reducer production orders without switching between the browser and backend status pages.

How It Works

The skill uses the JXT mechanical components platform APIs and follows a clear pipeline: choose a model, collect parameters, calculate drawings, create an order, and track progress.
- List reducer products: query the reducer category endpoint and present models as a numbered list.
- Collect parameters one by one: prompt for a single input_params field at a time; for option-based fields, run a preliminary calculation to fetch dropdowns before showing choices.
- Incremental calculation: submit all parameters on the first POST, save the returned filename, then send only changed parameters with the same filename so the backend updates the existing Excel file.
- Review results: show input, debug, coefficient, and output parameters in tables, such as center distance, shaft diameter, and module.
- Create and monitor order: use filename to create a no-login production order, save guest_code, then poll status every 5 seconds and report waiting, in-progress, and completed states.

Boundaries

This skill is useful for conversational reducer parameter calculation and order tracking, not for general-purpose mechanical CAD design outside the JXT workflow. Parameter changes must be sent incrementally rather than resubmitting all fields, and polling depends on network and API availability. Final purchase is still completed on the JXT website.

Use Cases

  • A mechanical engineer rapidly fills reducer parameters and creates a production order during selection.
  • A procurement staff revises power, ratio, and shaft values before confirming outputs.
  • An automation developer polls production status and retrieves output file links via the API.
  • A design assistant asks dropdown fields one by one and compiles a review table.

Best For

  • A mechanical engineer handling reducer selection, needing step-by-step parameter entry and drawing review.
  • A procurement staff tracking JXT production orders, needing no-login progress and file access.
  • A scripting engineer maintaining automation flows, needing incremental calculation and order polling APIs.
  • A design assistant supporting selection, needing dropdown collection and review-table compilation.
