About this skill

Information Overload Problem

Technical, business, and trending information is scattered across Hacker News, GitHub Trending, Weibo hot search, 36Kr, V2EX, and other sites. Manual reading often misses important updates or gets buried in low-value noise. Info Radar targets this daily feed-aggregation task and turns “what to read, what to read first, and what deserves deeper investigation” into a repeatable workflow.

How It Works and Where It Fits

It collects content from preset source combinations, then marks importance levels such as TOP, Recommended, and Reference based on heat, keywords, and relevance. Common parameters include --mode essential, --mode comprehensive, --domain tech, --watch AI,LLM, and --deep, which supports switching from a quick overview to deeper fetching. Configurations can be saved with --save-config and reused with --load-config, while --health-check checks source availability before collection.

Practical boundaries depend on network reachability and source quality: output is based only on content actually retrieved, a failed source is isolated, but human judgment is still required. The default output is Simplified Chinese and preserves original timestamps. Scheduled delivery depends on local cron or a similar task mechanism.

Use Cases

  • Review Hacker News, GitHub, and 36Kr during morning commute to pick out the most worthwhile technical updates.
  • Scan finance and venture feeds before investor meetings to collect market, competitor, and AI funding signals.
  • Track Weibo hot search and real-time trends to identify public-opinion angles and usable facts for publishable posts.
  • Save a comprehensive source profile, run domain-specific deep fetching, and export structured JSON for downstream reports.

Best For

  • Tech team leads: need daily visibility into open-source projects, AI papers, and developer-community signals.
  • Investors or analysts: need keyword-driven scans of finance, venture, and market feeds for meeting or research notes.
  • Content operations staff: need to track Weibo trends and Product Hunt for选题, push-copy angles, and citable facts.
  • Data engineers: need stable multi-source collection and JSON output for storage, deduplication, and report generation.
