The Problem
Pet care details often sit in chats, notes, and photos: a vomiting episode, deworming date, vaccine schedule, or weight changes. Later it is hard to answer ‘how has it been?’ or ‘when was the last deworming?’ This skill turns one-off descriptions into queryable health records without requiring a dedicated app.
How It Works
The main entry point is image or text recognition. When the user sends a photo or says ‘record this,’ it extracts structured fields with Qwen VL, then shows the result for confirmation. After approval, it writes to ~/.workbuddy/skills/pet-record/data/records.json. If the result includes schedules, it can suggest creating a reminder.
For queries, it reads records.json, analyzes trends, anomalies, and summaries, and returns a natural-language report.

Boundaries and Notes
It fits lightweight, local, single-user pet record use cases. Recognition output is not medical advice. Treat the API Key as sensitive local configuration and keep it out of logs or messages. Because records.json grows over time, archive or compress it when it becomes large.
