About this skill

What It Solves

Car price questions often mix model prices, local dealer quotes, discounts, landed costs, and owner-reported transaction prices. If an answer only cites a bare car price or website price, it can mislead buyers. This skill constrains the query to model series, variant, city, and price type, so the response can distinguish base price, dealer quote, landed cost, and owner price references.

How It Works

  • Call ask_price(query, city="Beijing"); query must include the model series name, for example "Audi A4L price"; city controls which local dealer quote is requested.
  • The API returns a raw dict with fields such as car_info, advertise_price_info, discount, net_price_info, price_info, and owner_price_gap_detail.
  • If a key is already available, it may come from client input, YOUJIA_API_KEY, .env, or ~/.youjia/key.json; when missing, follow the prompt to request or configure one.
  • Use YoujiaClient.format_for_reply(result) to render the payload as Markdown for user-facing replies instead of dumping raw fields.

Boundaries and Caveats

  • Model recognition depends on the series name, so vague brand-only queries may be imprecise.
  • city affects local dealer pricing, and quotes can vary by region.
  • Prices are point-in-time data and should be presented as current reference values rather than permanent quotes.

Use Cases

  • Answer how much an Audi A4L lands in Beijing with ask_price.
  • Check BMW 3 dealer quote and discount in Changsha.
  • Compare owner prices in owner_price_gap_detail.
  • Turn net_price_info and price_info into Model Y cost notes.

Best For

  • Model-assistant engineers who need to turn price, landed cost, and discount data into Markdown.
  • Car-sales service agents who need city-level dealer quotes and clear cost breakdowns.
  • Auto-content editors who need official prices, discounts, and owner-price references.
  • Local market operations staff who need to compare dealer quotes and landed costs by city.
