About this skill
Problem
A resume often fails not because the writing is weak, but because it keeps answering what you did instead of what the target role needs to solve. If you have 1-3 target roles, a real JD, and a draft resume, but you are unsure how to translate past experience into the target business language, this skill is useful for diagnosis and restructuring.
Workflow
It reads the company, role, JD, experience, and job-seeking context you provide, then proceeds through needs analysis, content restructuring, and interview prep:
- JD decoding: infer business logic, hiring intent, hidden signals, core capabilities, and matching points.
- Targeted resume rewrite: turn duty lists into problem-oriented
STARcases with verifiable outcomes. - Interview strategy: produce a 3-minute core story, a
STARquestion bank, and questions to ask the interviewer. - Information gap handling: ask for missing JD, background, or key experience before giving generic advice.
It behaves more like a job-content workflow than a layout generator, and it does not submit applications, verify claims, or replace live interview performance.
Boundaries and notes
Best for preparing for specific roles, not for creating one generic resume. It does not guarantee interview success, fabricate data or experience, or handle Word/PDF template design. The more specific the input is, especially the JD, tenure, core duties, and quantified outcomes, the closer the output is to a usable draft.
Use Cases
- After choosing a B2B SaaS Customer Success Manager role, break down the JD's core pain points and rewrite the summary and key strengths.
- When resume replies are weak, diagnose duty-list phrasing against the JD and reframe education-industry VIP renewal experience as customer success work.
- Before a career-change interview, prepare a 3-minute core story, STAR case frameworks, and deep questions for a SaaS interviewer.
- With only one day to prepare, extract two core JD pain points and generate answers for likely questions plus a core story.
Best For
- A job seeker moving from education to SaaS customer success who wants to translate VIP renewal experience into B2B data language.
- An operations professional with customer operations experience but low reply rates who wants to rewrite strengths and project outcomes against a JD.
- A candidate with only one day before an interview who needs a 3-minute core story and three follow-up question frameworks.
- A transitioning candidate re-entering after a layoff who wants to avoid a generic mass-application resume and highlight transferable skills.
