Problem

Paper revision is not just proofreading. Reviewers may challenge the contribution, methodological rigor, writing quality, and venue fit at the same time. In practice, teams often struggle with scattered reviewer comments, workload estimates that are either too optimistic or too vague, rebuttals that lack precise evidence anchors, and missing final checks before submission. PaperSprint Review organizes review, revision, and R&R into a traceable workflow rather than producing generic advice.

How It Works

The skill loads rules by stage instead of dumping all judgments at once:
- Intake & stage detection: uses intake to capture the target venue, manuscript stage, and existing review context, then checks structural completeness.
- Multi-lens review: evaluates the paper through Contribution, Rigor, Writing, and Editor perspectives, requiring each critique to point to a specific section or sentence.
- Backlog & gates: converts issues into actionable revision items, orders them by severity and dependencies, and uses gate checks to decide whether the manuscript can move forward.
- Sprint & export: provides range-based workload estimates and can export reports as MD, PDF, DOCX, HTML, or LaTeX.

Scope Notes

This skill is intended for Chinese or English academic paper review, revision planning, and reviewer response. It is not meant for writing a paper from scratch, generating research ideas, or performing data analysis. It requires human final sign-off, avoids presenting estimates as false precision, and treats its recommendations as decision support rather than domain expert judgment.
