About this skill

Problem It Solves

Public fund NAV is usually published T+1, so intraday holders often see constituent stock moves but cannot tell how their specific fund is likely to perform. This is especially useful for equity or index funds when you need a quick intraday estimate rather than waiting for confirmed NAV.

How It Works

The skill approximates a fund basket using the top ten holdings from the latest quarterly report and fetches real-time quotes for each holding from Sina. It estimates performance using:

  • Holding contribution: holding ratio × intraday stock change
  • Conservative estimate: remaining positions are assumed to have 0 change
  • Scaled estimate: remaining positions move proportionally with the top ten

Operationally, it extracts fund code, stock names, and ratios from Eastmoney or search results, verifies stock codes, and requests Sina quotes. It accounts for sh, sz, and bj prefixes, GBK response encoding, and the required Referer: https://finance.sina.com.cn header.

Limits and Caveats

This is an intraday estimate, not official NAV. Errors can come from stale holdings, cash positions, suspended stocks, late-session trading, and portfolio changes. Sina quotes return real-time data during trading hours and prior closing data otherwise, so this is best used as a reference during market hours rather than as a precise return calculation.

Use Cases

  • Determine the likely intraday NAV direction of a held fund before official T+1 publication.
  • Estimate a stock-heavy fund's intraday change range using top ten holdings and live stock moves.
  • Compare conservative and proportional assumptions to calculate the fund's estimated contribution.
  • Recognize that Sina quotes return closing data rather than live intraday data outside trading hours.

Best For

  • Investors holding equity funds who want a quick intraday direction estimate for NAV changes.
  • Research analysts reviewing funds by weighting quarterly top ten holdings with live stock moves.
  • Advisors explaining intraday estimate error sources before official T+1 NAV confirmation.
  • Engineers building LLM market-data workflows who want to package fund holdings estimation.
