Trends appear quickly, and manually scanning leaderboards can miss useful signals. This skill wraps public Douyin search and real-time trending queries into structured lookups, helping answer questions such as which posts have high engagement, which topics are rising recently, and what competitors have published.
How It Works
It exposes two main entry points:
- Keyword search: searches public videos or image-text posts, supports sorting by
overall,most likes, ornewest, and filters byall,within 24 hours,within 7 days, orwithin half a year. - Trending list lookup: fetches real-time Douyin trending items for short-term topic discovery.
The output supports both JSON and Markdown. JSON is useful for ingestion, automation, and secondary analysis, while Markdown is better for reports and manual review. Each search task also writes a JSON log that records execution parameters, making it easier to trace keywords, sorting options, and time ranges.
A typical workflow starts from an analysis goal, such as a competitor account content theme or a product selling point. Then choose sorting and time window: use most likes to find top-performing samples, or within 7 days to observe recent publishing rhythm. Finally, feed the structured results into scripts, spreadsheets, or report templates for further analysis.
Boundaries and Caveats
The skill is intended for public data collection and should not be used for private content, violating content, or workarounds to platform restrictions. The default TOKEN has rate limits, so production environments should configure a private GUAIKEI_API_TOKEN. Video and image CDN links may be temporary, so download them promptly if long-term retention is needed. If a keyword is blocked for compliance reasons or the result set is empty, adjust the phrasing or widen the time range and retry.
