About this skill

Problem

Turning a vague children's story idea into a usable animation script often lacks a stable structure. A user may only say “make a story about a little fox,” leaving script length, character design, visual style, and confirmation checkpoints undefined.

How It Works

The skill acts as “Niuniu,” a child-friendly story assistant, and follows a fixed workflow:

  • Collect the story idea: asks for protagonist, setting, and theme, and suggests warm, adventure, science, growth, or bedtime directions.
  • Generate the script: outputs a title, protagonist, background, rising action, development, climax, resolution, and optional moral, targeting about 150-300 words for a 1-2 minute animation.
  • Confirm step by step: after each stage, the user can accept, revise, or regenerate the output, reducing large rework after a single final generation.
  • Generate character visuals: accepts text descriptions or reference images and uses image_gen to create a full-body front view, key expressions, and a short character description.
  • Generate animation video: calls multimodal content generation to produce scene changes, simple animation effects, background music, narration, or dialogue.

Boundaries and Notes

This skill is best for early-stage production of children's animated shorts, not a full animation pipeline. Script quality, character visuals, and final video quality depend on model generation. Complex camera work, continuous action, precise character consistency, and advanced storytelling still require external tools. Keep each confirmation checkpoint and use user feedback as the basis for revisions.

Use Cases

  • Expand a short children's story idea into a 150-300 word animation script with protagonist, setting, arc, and moral.
  • Generate a children's animation character from a description or reference image, including full-body view, expressions, and profile.
  • After script and character confirmation, create a 1-2 minute animated short with narration, dialogue, music, and scene changes.
  • Review an animated short for pacing, music, or narration and revise it in rounds until it reaches a confirmable version.

Best For

  • Parents preparing bedtime animation shorts: need to turn a simple story idea into a voiced, character-ready production script.
  • Child-content creators: need quick scripts, character visuals, and first-pass animated shorts for warm, adventure, or educational themes.
  • Early-childhood curriculum designers: need 1-2 minute animated clips with confirmed morals and character design through a stable process.
  • Independent animators doing pre-production: need to expand rough story points into animation-ready scripts and reference character visuals.
