About this skill

Problem

Many content tools can summarize or rewrite text, but they rarely produce the natural back-and-forth rhythm of a real podcast. AI Podcast Creator turns URLs, PDFs, Word files, Markdown, or pasted text into a two-host conversational script: it identifies the source, summarizes when the input is long, then generates a Chinese podcast draft with clear host roles, early hooks, and a closing summary.

How It Works

  • Multi-source input: supports web content, local documents, and plain text; inputs over 10,000 characters are summarized first.
  • Parameter control: choose tech-deep, casual-chat, news-brief, teach-explain, or debate-explore, with short, medium, or long target length and optional host personas.
  • Script generation: the lead host explains the material while the secondary host asks, clarifies, and summarizes; turns are kept to 80-200 characters, with hooks early and a strong closing line.
  • Optional audio: defaults to script-only; if with-audio is selected, it may try macOS say or advise configuring Edge TTS or another TTS provider.

Boundaries

It is best for turning articles, reports, tutorials, or news items into podcast scripts, but it does not guarantee professional-grade voice synthesis. Audio output depends on the local system or user-configured APIs, and the final quality still depends on the clarity and relevance of the source content.

Use Cases

  • Turn a tech blog URL into a 10-15 min podcast script.
  • Summarize a long PDF report and make a casual podcast.
  • Rewrite tutorial docs as a dual-host teaching script.
  • Draft a light news podcast from AI headline articles.

Best For

  • Tech-content editors turning blogs into podcast scripts.
  • Course designers rewriting tutorials as co-teaching scripts.
  • News writers creating quick AI news podcast dialogue.
  • Podcast planners generating role-based dual-host drafts.
