About this skill

Problem

AI updates are scattered across official blogs, papers, tech media, and social platforms, making it hard to verify the time window, distinguish primary sources, separate model releases from announcements, and compare benchmark data consistently. AI News Generator addresses requests such as “what happened recently,” “what changed for a company or research direction,” and “how do these models compare,” with the goal of producing usable briefs, deep-dive analyses, and comparison reports rather than raw link dumps.

How It Works

The skill first resolves the requested time range, domain scope, and output format, defaulting to the last 7 days. It then uses WebSearch to prioritize Chinese industry sources, official blogs, arXiv, and English tech media, consolidating duplicate reports and labeling sources, dates, and confidence. For data-driven content, it can call show_widget to render Chart.js bar charts, line charts, pie charts, or timelines. When a cover image or conceptual diagram is needed, it can use ImageGen and surface the file via present_files. The final output separates facts, opinions, and unverified rumors, and explicitly distinguishes released from announced.

Boundaries

It is well suited to AI daily briefs, weekly reports, monthly roundups, model comparisons, and research-direction progress summaries. Exact market share, financing figures, or benchmark rankings should still be checked against primary sources and the selected time window. Unofficial information is marked as “reportedly” or “unconfirmed.” It does not replace due diligence, legal/compliance review, or real-time market data.

Use Cases

  • A product lead needs a weekly AI update brief that consolidates model releases, company news, and sources.
  • A researcher tracks multimodal progress and filters arXiv papers and conference updates while checking primary sources.
  • An algorithm team compares the latest Gemini and Claude capabilities, including benchmark differences and official announcements.
  • A policy analyst reviews recent AI regulation updates and distinguishes published rules from media coverage.

Best For

  • Product managers who need to deliver weekly AI industry briefs covering model releases and competitive updates.
  • Algorithm engineers who track reasoning-model progress and distinguish released capabilities from announcements only.
  • Content editors who convert English official announcements into Chinese briefs with source and date labels.
  • Investment analysts who monitor AI financing, M&A, and market rumors while marking unverified information.
