Problem

Astrology daily forecasts often lack an auditable astronomical calculation layer: planetary positions, aspect angles, and house activations can be template-driven, making it hard to explain why a chart connects points the way it does.

astro-daily-transits addresses a concrete engineering task: given birth date, time, location, and a target date, compute aspects between the natal chart and transit positions, derive house activations, and emit debuggable text, JSON, and image output.

Core workflow

It separates calculation from rendering. daily_transits.py is the sole calculation engine, using Swiss Ephemeris with JPL DE431 ephemerides for planetary positions and the Placidus system for house cusps. draw_daily.py calls the calculator with --json through a subprocess and renders a 5760×2880 combined wheel plus a wide forecast panel.

Key capabilities include:
- Fixed natal foundation: birth positions are computed once and treated as the stable reference.
- Transit aspects: detects eight aspect types, with retrograde transits drawn as dashed lines.
- House activation: maps triggered houses to life areas, planets, degrees, retrograde status, and contextual interpretation.
- AI conclusion interface: accepts an externally generated conclusion via --conclusion, falling back to a built-in summary.

Boundaries

The skill prioritizes precise astronomical computation, but it remains an entertainment/educational tool. It should not drive medical, financial, or scientific decisions. Runtime requirements are Windows x64, Python 3.14.x, the Visual C++ Redistributable 2015–2022, and Pillow 12.x. Language output supports ru and en.
