About this skill

Problem

When users ask “what is XX stock right now”, “last month’s trend”, or “how much has it risen year to date”, the hard part is not just fetching a number. The agent must align the ticker, time range, quote type, and trading-day rules. If stock quote queries are left to free-form parameter construction, common failures include non-trading dates, inconsistent interval meanings, and disordered multi-stock comparisons. This skill constrains DeepQ MCP Server quote tools into a fixed workflow for individual stock performance questions.

How It Works

The skill provides three query modes:
- Real-time quotes: return current price, change, percent change, volume, turnover, and turnover rate.
- Historical quotes: default to the last 5 trading days, or query historical K-line and capital data within a start and end date.
- Interval quotes: summarize performance over a period, such as the last week, last month, last quarter, or year to date.

Execution starts by parsing the stock code, then selects the query mode from user intent. When a date range is needed, it uses the recent trading-day list from recentTransDate to map expressions such as “today” and “last month” to valid startDate and endDate values. For multi-stock comparisons, it calls the same tool separately for each ticker and then aligns the results.

Boundaries

The skill depends on quote data tools and requires DeepQ MCP Server to be configured before use. Non-trading days have no fresh quotes, so dates should fall back to the nearest trading day. It is suited for real-time stock prices, historical trends, and interval performance summaries, not for full investment research reports, order execution, valuation modeling, or portfolio backtesting.

Use Cases

  • Before a stock discussion, fetch current price, change, volume, and turnover.
  • During weekly review, pull last week's K-line and capital data by date range.
  • Comparing two stocks, query interval performance separately and align results.
  • Answer price questions by parsing ticker and returning real-time quote fields.

Best For

  • Research assistants who need current price, change, and turnover for a stock
  • Finance editors reviewing recent stock trends and interval performance summaries
  • Product leads comparing real-time and historical quotes across multiple tickers
  • Backend engineers wiring quote lookup into chat assistant tooling
