About this skill

What problem it solves

When a user only says “I dreamed of losing teeth” or “I was late for an exam,” responses often either over-rely on folklore or over-psychologize the dream. dream-interpretation addresses how to turn a free-form description into a verifiable, bounded, and non-mystical interpretation without treating one webpage as authoritative.

How it works

The skill first extracts key symbols, actions, people, places, colors, and emotions, then searches using concrete Chinese queries such as 周公解梦 掉牙, 梦见 蛇 周公解梦, and 周公解梦 飞行 追赶. Instead of trusting a single page, it reads 2–4 relevant sources, compares overlaps, and flags conflicts or low-confidence points. By default, it outputs four sections: key dream signals, common traditional interpretations, modern psychology view, and balanced takeaway. If the dream is vague, it asks 1–3 clarifying questions, such as “What was the strongest image?” or “Did you feel nervous, afraid, happy, or calm?”

Boundaries

It is useful as a suggestive explanation, not as diagnosis, decision-making, or factual judgment. Folk interpretations are framed as traditional views, the psychology section is kept separate from folklore, and uncertainty is stated directly when sources disagree.

Use Cases

  • Customer support organizes dream-inquiry notes by splitting “dream of being late for an exam” into folklore, psychology, and uncertainty.
  • Content editors compare multi-source readings for symbols like teeth, snakes, and flying, then flag conflicts in explainer drafts.
  • Psychology-product designers prototype vague-dream flows by generating 1–3 clarifying questions before the four-part answer.
  • Community operators answer “Zhougong meaning of XX” using concrete Chinese queries and avoiding folklore as fact.

Best For

  • Editors writing psychology-support copy: need dream descriptions turned into non-mystical, uncertainty-aware explanations.
  • Engineers building Chinese search and content aggregation: need symbol-based queries and multi-source comparison.
  • Community operators running dream-topic groups: need quick answers to “what does dreaming of XX mean” while separating folklore and psychology.
  • Product managers designing emotion-journaling apps: need default outputs that split tradition, psychology, and takeaway.
