About this skill
The problem
Writing Moments copy often fails not from lack of ideas, but from tone that sounds too salesy, too full, too abstract, or inconsistent with the user's normal persona. Formal writing structures and persuasive sentences do not always fit mobile social feeds: the photo carries much of the story, while the text only needs to add emotion, detail, and pacing.
How the skill works
The skill turns Moments copy into executable generation constraints:
- Style system: supports literary, humorous, motivational, daily-life, food, emotional, workplace, and travel tones, chosen by scene.
- Structure control: focuses on authenticity, imagery, emotional value, and restraint, avoiding adjective stacking and slogans.
- Length and layout: defaults to 30-80 words, with segmentation for posts over 120 words to preserve mobile readability.
- Workflow: first confirms scene, style, length, emotion, and photo context, then returns 2-3 variants from different angles, and iterates on feedback such as “too long”, “not funny enough”, or “too pretentious”.
Boundaries
It fits short social copy that needs quick candidates and repeated polishing, especially daily records, travel, food, and workplace updates. It is not a substitute for ad compliance writing, formal news releases, or complex brand narrative; promises, pricing, medical, or financial claims need separate compliance review.
Use Cases
- Ops writes a new-product Moments post and asks for humorous 30-60 character copy with two or three different opening angles for a mobile feed.
- Editor turns project delivery into a restrained workplace Moments post of one to three lines, avoiding chicken-soup tone for a professional but warm profile.
- Travel creator pairs a landscape photo with a 15-30 character travel-style caption that stays image-driven, restrained, and suited to a feed post.
- Personal account writer records a weekend home-cooked meal and asks for a 60-120 character food-style caption with atmosphere, then trims it down.
Best For
- Social media ops publishing brand campaigns and product updates who wants product points that do not sound like an ad.
- Personal-account creator posting travel and daily photos who needs restrained, image-rich short captions without exaggeration.
- Project manager handling delivery, deals, and team-growth content who wants professional, non-preachy proof of results.
- Food and home-life blogger documenting restaurants and home cooking who wants atmospheric captions with restrained pacing.
