About this skill

Problem

Douyin content grows quickly, and raw cumulative likes can hide recent momentum. The skill focuses on sustained new engagement over the past seven days, surfacing works that are rising now and allowing category-level comparison. It turns a large set of platform works into a verified TOP50 list for spotting emerging niches, competitor cadence, and topic shifts.

How It Works

The skill queries the Redfox Data API by date and category:
- Weekly surge: data updates at 17:00 daily for the previous seven days; default output is TOP20, with TOP50 on request.
- Category filters: supports 28 vertical tracks; unmatched requests list available categories.
- History lookup: up to 30 days back; “today/future” falls back to the latest available window ending yesterday, while older requests return the nearest supported range.
- Output format: Markdown table with rank, title, author, incremental engagement, and publish time; titles use share_url as clickable links.

Boundaries

It is suited for trend monitoring, category review, and scheduled subscriptions, not real-time ranking or exact single-day performance. It requires REDFOX_API_KEY via the X-API-KEY header, with parameters such as type and startTime. Metrics are snapshot values from the API for seven-day new likes, favorites, comments, and shares.

Use Cases

  • Content ops uses it during planning to identify Douyin works with sustained new likes in a chosen niche over the last seven days.
  • Analysts pull full TOP50 all-category seven-day new-like data for a specific date within the past 30 days for weekly reviews.
  • Brand monitoring staff compare seven-day new likes, comments, and shares across categories in competitor reports.
  • Community managers set a daily 17:00 subscription to receive scheduled surge updates for a selected track and time preference.

Best For

  • Content operators who need to prepare seven-day Douyin trend lists for weekly planning.
  • Data analysts who review 30-day category trends and historical surge rankings.
  • Brand or market specialists monitoring competitor content across Douyin niches.
  • Community managers who want scheduled daily updates for selected Douyin tracks.
