What It Solves

This skill turns the traditional three-coin I Ching method into a repeatable conversational workflow. It is not about producing “accurate” predictions; it standardizes random coin tossing, yao classification, changed-yao handling, hexagram lookup, and classical-text citation so that outputs do not drift into inconsistent formats or partial interpretations.

How It Works

The skill follows a fixed sequence. It first collects gender, Gregorian birth date, birth hour, relationship and work status, the specific question, and the user’s mindset, such as “genuinely undecided,” “testing an answer,” or “playing for fun.” It then generates six groups of three coins, maps the outcomes to yao values 6/7/8/9, identifies the primary hexagram, changed yao, and resulting hexagram, and renders a textual hexagram diagram. The final interpretation uses a seven-part structure: hexagram framing, vernacular explanation of the hexagram statement, key points from the Tuan commentary, imagery from the Xiang commentary, changed-yao lines, primary-to-result hexagram contrast, and a playful summary. It also includes Bazi conversion rules as optional interpretive context.

Boundaries

It is intended for entertainment, reflection, and narrative use, not for medical, legal, investment, or life-or-death decisions. Sensitive questions should be redirected toward reflective guidance rather than concrete predictions. Each session should keep results independently random, and a new cast should begin only when the user explicitly asks for one.
