Zhou Gong's Dream Dictionary

The Problem

When a user asks about dreams such as “dreaming of a snake,” “losing teeth,” or “being chased,” a generic answer can collapse into fixed fortune-telling or vague reassurance. Zhou Gong's Dream Dictionary addresses a more concrete task: turning a vague dream description into reviewable symbolic elements, then interpreting them with traditional meanings, psychological context, and personal situation. It is not a deterministic divination tool; it gives the model a structure for dream interpretation: clarify details, classify symbols, and present bounded possibilities.

How It Works

• Collect details: ask for main characters, setting, actions, objects, emotions, colors, and numbers.
• Identify symbols: map dream elements into categories such as natural elements, animals, people, objects and actions, and places.
• Apply layered interpretation: for each symbol, consider classical Zhou Gong meaning, psychological symbolism, current life context, and emotional resonance.
• Synthesize meaning: identify the dominant theme, conflicting symbols, and overall tone, then provide both specific symbol readings and a holistic interpretation.

Boundaries and Notes

• Treat readings as possibilities, not fixed predictions.
• Let personal associations override generic symbol meanings when they are clearly relevant.
• For disturbing or recurring dreams, suggest talking to a mental health professional.
• Avoid amplifying anxiety from negative symbols; frame them as signals that need attention.
