About this skill

Problem

Writing public-opinion briefs often means manually aligning scope, event timeline, topic heat, and reporting format. public-opinion-report turns a natural-language requirement into an internal report-service call and returns a Markdown draft, reducing manual assembly between the request and the document. It is useful when a fixed report type needs a quick Markdown draft.

How It Works

  • Configure MIDU_API_KEY in OpenClaw first; if the key is missing, complete the internal key-fetching process.
  • The main input is message, describing the report target and type, such as an event, topic, campaign, brand, or periodic issue.
  • Pass thread_id for multi-turn sessions; the first request can omit it, and the API returns the session ID.
  • Supported outputs include event briefs, topic reports, industry reports, campaign reports, brand communication insights, and public policy online-opinion reports.
  • The response is Markdown, which can be reviewed, edited, or handed to downstream document workflows. Callers can keep the session ID to follow up or refine requirements.

Boundaries

The skill depends on the internal service's data, definitions, and reporting capabilities; it does not own data ingestion, fact checking, or public communication strategy. Report generation may take 5 to 20 minutes, so callers should wait for the API response instead of treating short timeouts as failures.

Use Cases

  • A desk editor receives an urgent event-briefing request, describes the event in message, and generates a Markdown draft from the service.
  • A brand team needs a brand communication insight report, submits the brand and requirements, and edits the returned Markdown draft.
  • A public-policy analyst needs a periodic online-opinion report, omits thread_id in the first call, and refines it using the returned ID.
  • A campaign team needs an activity communication report, describes scope and report type in natural language, and gets an editable Markdown draft.

Best For

  • Public-opinion desk staff: need an event brief or rapid commentary draft in Markdown.
  • Brand communications staff: need a brand insight report and want to refine it through follow-up turns.
  • Public-policy analysts: need periodic online-opinion reports or public-policy network opinion reports.
  • Campaign operators: need campaign communication results turned into an editable Markdown report.
