About this skill

Problem Addressed

Supplier incoming-quality data often sits across multiple Sheets with inconsistent fields, weak batch links, and mixed signals about suppliers, defect types, and inspection items. SQE teams spending manual time on cleaning, pass-rate math, Pareto ranking, benchmarking, and writing supplier-ready conclusions need a more reproducible workflow.

How It Works

The skill focuses on IQC inspection sheets, supplier ledgers, and incoming-defect records, following a structure-first flow:
- Structure analysis: run scripts/analyze.py --action analyze_structure to inspect Sheet lists, field distributions, and join suggestions before touching metrics.
- Requirement confirmation: decide single-supplier, multi-supplier, or material scope, and confirm defect, inspection-item, and supplier field mappings.
- Metric analysis: run --action analyze to compute batch pass rate, defect PPM, defect-type rankings, supplier comparisons, and trends.
- Report generation: run scripts/generate_report.py to emit Markdown and HTML reports for internal review or supplier communication.

Boundaries

This skill is scoped to supplier incoming-quality analysis only. It does not cover on-site defects, process quality, customer complaints, SPC, quality cost, monthly reports, or 8D. If supplier fields are missing, field mapping must be provided first. Conclusions should be quantified and evidence-backed rather than generic.

Use Cases

  • Analyze one supplier IQC sheet, compute batch pass rate, PPM, and TOP5 defects.
  • Benchmark multiple supplier ledgers, rank them, assign risk levels, and export an HTML report.
  • Join IQC and defect sheets by batch number, then produce a full incoming-quality report.
  • Analyze time-stamped incoming defects by month or quarter and write quantified conclusions.

Best For

  • SQE owners who need supplier-ready, quantified incoming-quality findings.
  • Quality engineers managing supplier ledgers who need benchmarking and A/B/C risk ratings.
  • Incoming inspection analysts handling multi-sheet IQC data who need field mapping and reporting.
  • Quality managers presenting incoming-quality issues who need trend analysis and dual-format reports.
