What Problem It Solves

When AI assistants are used across devices, preferences, persona context, and chat history can become fragmented across local sessions. MCM Agent treats these items as cloud memory and lets an AI agent save or retrieve them only when the user explicitly asks, avoiding implicit collection or continuous background syncing.

How It Works

• Explicit triggering: saving and retrieval happen only on user request, which keeps memory operations more consent-driven.
• Categorized storage: content is organized into personality, preferences, chat_history, and memory categories, making later retrieval easier to target.
• Cross-device access: when requested, the skill can check memories stored from other devices and prompt the user before applying them.
• Account and quota: an API Key is required to enable the service; the free plan is around 200 entries, with a warning as the limit approaches.

Fit and Limits

It suits agent workflows that need instruction-based memory, preference, and history sharing across devices. It is not intended for automatic full synchronization, passive background capture, or unlimited storage. Users should keep in mind that all syncing depends on explicit authorization and that free-plan entry limits can affect how much memory can be retained.
