Character Persona Manager

Problem

When a conversational agent needs to switch between personas, raw prompt edits are often brittle: style residue, scattered role files, missing library entries, and inconsistent paths can make behavior unpredictable. Character Persona Manager treats personas as manageable file assets.

How It Works

• Role listing: reads role files under characters and presents a selectable list.
• Role switching: after selection, overwrites global SOUL.md with the full role content so the current conversation immediately adopts the persona, tone, and catchphrases.
• Role saving: writes the current SOUL.md content to characters/{role-name}.md and updates the role-library table.
• Path consistency: records role file paths to keep loading, switching, and saving aligned under one directory structure.

Boundaries

It fits a small to medium set of fixed roles whose files follow a consistent structure. Because switching fully overwrites SOUL.md, it is not intended for mixing multiple roles in one session; confirm naming and summaries before adding roles to avoid an unmanaged library.
