Career changes, side businesses, and independence projects often fail because inputs are scattered: goals are vague, experience is unstructured, salary and role data are fragmented, and job-search assets do not align. Ascent turns that decision into a checkable workflow instead of jumping straight into applications or ad-hoc learning.

How it works

It follows INTAKE → SELF-ANALYSIS → MARKET → POSITION → PLAN → JOBSEARCH → EXECUTE. First it captures the goal, current role, target role, region, constraints, and timeline. Then it builds a self-analysis from strengths, values, work style, and verifiable achievements. Market research focuses on the target role and region, producing salary bands with sources or ASSUMPTION markers, plus company and demand signals. After that, it sets one canonical positioning statement and generates a 90-day learning roadmap, target-company list, CSV application tracker, interview prep, outreach templates, and negotiation/offer-comparison guidance. The skill compares at least two routes, recommends one with rationale, and checks cross-artifact consistency.
