About this skill

Problem

At an office workstation, people often stay in the same seated position for long periods without noticing: the neck leans forward, shoulders drop, the back rounds, or the screen is too close. Regular surveillance video can be reviewed, but it does not quantify continuous sitting time, neck forward angle, or back curvature, and it cannot issue timely behavioral reminders.

How It Works

The skill processes fixed-camera workstation video from local files or network URLs, as well as supported image or video inputs. It detects the worker and estimates upper-body pose keypoints, then tracks continuous sitting duration and stand-up events, and estimates neck forward angle, back curvature, shoulder height difference, and eye-to-screen distance. If sitting exceeds the default 1h without standing, or neck angle exceeds 20° or a back-curvature threshold, it emits alerts such as prolonged_sitting, forward_head_posture, hunchback_posture, shoulder_asymmetry, and too_close_to_screen. Historical report lookup reads cloud data and renders a Markdown table.

Boundaries

The output is workplace health guidance, not orthopedic, rehabilitation, or medical diagnosis. Deployments need employee consent and local privacy compliance. Use side-front workstation views covering the upper body; video may be mp4, avi, or mov up to 10MB.

Use Cases

  • HR analyzes open-workstation camera video for continuous sitting and forward head posture, then generates alert reports.
  • EAP leads query historical posture alert lists across office areas and export date-filtered Markdown tables for follow-up.
  • Workplace managers review uploaded home-office workstation videos to confirm hunchback or shoulder asymmetry thresholds.
  • IT admins connect fixed workstation camera video and route alert types to PC popup or app reminder text.

Best For

  • HR owners responsible for workplace health who need workstation video checks for prolonged sitting and posture alerts.
  • EAP specialists who need historical sitting alert lists and follow-up on stand-up reminder compliance.
  • Shared workspace operators who want posture monitoring for public workstation video and risk reminders.
  • IT or security admins who need fixed-camera video integrated into health alerts with privacy controls.
