Problem

When operating a WeChat official account, competitor and top-account metrics such as reads, likes, In View counts, and shares are often scattered across platforms. Manual screenshots and ad hoc spreadsheets make it hard to keep a consistent baseline. Looking only at one post or one weekly rank can also misrepresent an account's content strategy or the competitive pressure in a vertical. This skill targets that benchmarking problem: it retrieves category-level rankings of official accounts and returns comparable metrics plus analysis angles.

How It Works

It follows a “rank query — metric interpretation — report generation — scheduled subscription” flow. Typical inputs include --rank_type, --category, or --keyword. You can select daily, weekly, or monthly rankings and get TOP50 fields such as rank, account name, composite score, publication count, total reads, headline reads, peak reads, likes, In View counts, and shares. The follow-up capabilities reuse the same data:
- Multi-dimensional ranking: covers 23 categories, supports daily/weekly/monthly views, and validates date ranges.
- Composite scoring: calculates a 100-point score from reading and engagement metrics for horizontal comparison.
- Analysis: produces three perspectives: content-ecosystem changes, hot-topic impact, and blue-ocean track signals.
- HTML report: renders the ranking into a page that can be exported as an image or PDF for review.
- Subscription: pushes the latest results according to daily, weekly, or monthly update schedules.

Boundaries and Notes

The skill depends on the RedFoxHub API and requires a REDFOX_API_KEY; without it, data retrieval will fail. Rankings have limited lookback: daily rankings cover the last 7 days, weekly rankings cover the last 3 weeks, and monthly rankings cover the last 3 months. Out-of-range dates are adjusted to the nearest available period. The ranking table and HTML report must use the same API data and preserve order. Analysis, report generation, and subscription are optional follow-ups and should not be triggered automatically for a plain ranking query.
