About this skill

Problem

When publishing WeChat articles or Video Channel posts, content can be useful but titles remain flat: too little signal, too much hype, or the wrong length for the cover preview. This skill helps produce a comparable set of titles that balance emotional resonance, information-driven curiosity, and cognitive challenge, while avoiding unsupported clickbait.

How It Works

Viral Title Generator takes a core content summary and optional inputs such as audience, tone, and output count. It loads references/title-styles.md and references/platform-specs.md, then generates titles in three styles:
- Resonant style: uses concrete numbers, personal experience, and contrast to create strong identification, suitable for workplace stress, growth struggles, and emotional topics.
- Curiosity style: uses numbers, qualifiers, and high-value claims to create an information gap, suitable for methods, industry insights, and tool recommendations.
- Challenge style: uses counterintuitive questions to create cognitive conflict, suitable for opinion pieces, trend judgments, and industry analysis.

The output also adapts to platform constraints: Video Channel titles should stay short, ideally around 12-15 characters; WeChat article titles can be more complete, around 20-28 characters, using separators such as | and : for structure. Before output, it checks style clarity, length limits, concrete details, and whether each claim is supported by the source content.

Boundaries and Notes

It is useful for early title exploration and A/B testing, not as a substitute for fact-checking. If the provided summary is inaccurate, the titles may amplify misleading claims. Missing reference files can reduce style and platform alignment. Before publishing, editors should still verify platform policies, sensitive wording, and audience reception.

Use Cases

  • Before drafting a WeChat guide, turn core method points into numeric, benefit-led curiosity titles.
  • Prepare a short Video Channel hook with a compact visual cover title under 15 characters.
  • Generate counterintuitive question titles for an opinion piece to stimulate comments and discussion.
  • Create A/B test variants with different numbers, sentence structures, and emotional intensity.

Best For

  • Content editors writing WeChat how-to articles who need benefit-led, information-rich titles
  • Video Channel creators packaging short spoken insights into compact cover titles
  • Career writers creating opinion pieces who need resonant, discussion-driving question titles
  • Operators running pre-publication A/B tests who need alternative sentence structures and intensity
