About this skill

Problem

Natural-language finance messages often mix expenses, balances, credit bills, and wishlist status in one turn. Free-form answers are hard to store, reconcile, or sync into a list. This skill routes each message into modules and emits constrained replies, reducing unusable records.

How It Works and Boundaries

  • Bookkeeping: detect expense, income, completed repayment, and completed transfer; append records per schema.md; ask one short question only when a required value is missing.
  • Assets: handle observed balances, debt, credit bills, due dates, installments, or asset queries; update balances and credit schedules per accounts.md and credit.md.
  • Wishlist: handle wanted, purchased, or abandoned items; on purchase, update the item and record an expense when transaction details are available; reply only with the item and status.
  • Boundaries: behavior depends on schema.md, accounts.md, and wishlist.md; preferences.json can override template preferences; categorization reads only categories.md, while third-party bill imports read only import_rules.md.

Use Cases

  • Turn a one-line expense with account, amount, and event into a structured record with time filled in.
  • Update an asset entry when a user reports a credit bill amount and due date.
  • Process “bought the monitor” plus payment details by updating the wishlist and recording an expense.
  • Split a mixed message into bookkeeping, asset, and wishlist actions with separate replies.

Best For

  • Personal bookkeepers who want chat-like messages normalized into fixed ledger fields.
  • Card or installment users who need bills, due dates, and repayment updates tracked.
  • Wishlist maintainers who want wanted, purchased, and abandoned statuses kept in sync.
  • Lightweight finance automation builders who need module-constrained, machine-readable replies.
