About this skill
What It Solves
Middle and primary school teachers often face three practical problems when communicating with parents about a single student. WeChat messages can sound like incident reports, leading with problems instead of observable facts. Phone calls may lack a clear outline, leaving teachers unprepared for parent questions. Meetings can miss an agenda and practical room setup. For scenarios such as grade changes, peer conflicts, and emotional observations, the wording, parent actions, and sensitivity risk all need to be handled together.
How It Works
Parent-Teacher Communication Coach first normalizes the request into structured fields: student name, scenario type, situation description, expected outcome, and communication channel. If required fields are missing, it asks for all missing items at once instead of guessing. It then runs a sensitivity scan. If the input suggests serious emotional distress, major conflict, or a significant family event, it redirects the response toward an in-person meeting and school support systems rather than expanding details over text or phone.
After channel routing, the WeChat version stays within 150–250 characters, uses short sentences, minimal emoji, and clear paragraphs. The phone version provides a call outline covering opening, factual explanation, parent follow-up, and difficult-question handling. The meeting version adds an agenda, key questions, action suggestions, and logistics such as seating, water, and dress code. The draft is then checked against de-labeling, empathy first, neutral language, actionable closure, and sensitive-case handling. If a rule fails, it rewrites the draft and appends a quality report at the end.
Scope And Cautions
It fits one-to-one parent communication for primary and secondary school teachers, especially grade feedback, habit discussions, emotional observations, and pre-parents’-meeting preparation. It is not intended for broadcast notices, lesson planning, homework grading, grade analytics, psychological diagnosis, medical advice, or legal communication. For high-sensitivity topics, prefer an in-person meeting with support from school counselors, moral education staff, or grade leaders, and avoid detailing the situation in text channels.
Use Cases
- Draft a short WeChat note after a grade dip with one parent action.
- Prepare a phone outline with opening, facts, and tough questions.
- Build a meeting agenda with questions, actions, and logistics.
- Flag sensitive cases and suggest in-person support escalation.
Best For
- Primary or secondary homeroom teachers drafting one-student WeChat, phone, or meeting scripts.
- Subject teachers preparing exam or homework feedback with neutral wording and parent actions.
- Deputy homeroom or grade teachers preparing pre-meeting agendas and sensitive-case escalation.
- PTA members preparing neutral parent-communication wording and follow-up parent actions.
